Position Description:
Create a welcoming and respectful environment in Teen Central by providing reader’s advisory and computer assistance for customers using the teen center.

1 month minimum
Time Involvement:
Flexible, 2-4 hours per week
Qualifications:
Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age
Reliable and responsible
Ability to work independently
Ability to follow instructions
Detail-oriented and able to perform tasks accurately
Computer skills
Responsibilities:
Use the internet to compile a list of all colleges and universities in Colorado
Arrange list alphabetically, including institution name, mailing address and phone number
Contact each school and request a current course catalog
Use the internet and local publications to research extra-curricular activities/opportunities for teens in the Pueblo area. (include contact information if available)
Create a monthly calendar with the information collected
Training:
Orientation to the library including all applicable policies and procedures.
Individual training with Volunteer Coordinator or Teen Librarian to discuss projects in further detail.
